Because of my weird workflow, and the fact that I write stuff in multiple genres, it’s somewhat rare that I sit down, write a whole album, record, and release it. What’s looking more likely these days is that I’ll be recording a bunch of individual songs and when I have enough that sound similar, bundling them into an EP. Here’s what’s currently on my hard drive:
If you like stuff like Dropkick Murphys, Rumjacks, Flogging Molly, and the Kilmaine Saints, you’ll dig this. Heavy punk guitar and drums over mandolin, accordion, banjo, and bagpipes, and just drowning in swinging triplets. Currently done or almost done: Democracy’s Irish Wake, But For the Grace of God Go I, Answers, A Song About Beer
There’s also a bunch of traditionals done in the same style: The Irish Rover, Star of the County Down, Rare Old Mountain Dew, Rocky Road to Dublin, Step it Out Mary, Raggle Taggle Gypsy, Auld Lang Syne. The plan was to release two versions of that album- One all rocked up, and one more traditional folksy.
Pop punk very much in the Green Day / Blink 182 vein, with a couple hard rocking numbers, and maybe a couple songs about Star Trek. 1234 is an homage to the Ramones. Done: Dave, Road Song, Red Shirt, Tonight My Love, 1234.
Unreleased Featherscale Material-
A few songs that were written for the band, or older demo material that the band was planning to redo. I keep meaning to get this stuff out there, because a couple tunes are pretty awesome, and people heard us do live. Half Done: Arcana, Reaper, Wormwood.
